WINEMAKER NOTES: This wine represents the beginning and ending of a growing season. Tempranillo kicked off harverst on my birthday September11. Fermentation progressed quickly and led to a couple sleepless nights of cap management and punching down. Fast forward a month to October 20th the Cabernet Sauvignon was harvested. The Cabernet brought lovely consistency. Low fermentation temperatures allowed for extended time on skins and a long maceration period. Racked once before bottling. Bottled 05/2022

TASTING NOTES: This rich Cabernet Sauvignon with 19% Tempranillo and 5% Syrah will satisfy many a steak-eating table, offering dark cherry paste, milk chocolate and espresso bean aromas on the nose. Thick but expertly polished tannins wrap around the palate, where dark berry, cocoa and graphite flavors work into a dry harmony. -Matt Kettmann
